Antenna Patterns

Is there a list that matches this complex identification number that is default to the program in order to comprehend what antenna make/model that I'm actually using? The one thing I was hoping for in this program was an actual make/model from the manufacturers' catalog/website that I could say, "yep that is the exact one I'm using." Or is there a way to default some patterns that match a omnidirectional 5db or a yagi three element 8db pattern regardless of manufacturer?

Can I still load the ones from websites into the program myself?

If you open the Antenna Pattern Editor either through the site's Object Inspector or through the TOOLS menu, you can quickly go through our pattern database and *hopefully* find the pattern you are looking for.

The Antenna Pattern Editor allows you to choose the Make/Manufacturer, then you can click once in the File Name box, then use your mouse's scroll wheel to quickly go through the patterns. You will see the Antenna Model at the very bottom of the screen.

A bit of explanation on the naming of these files - the "File Name" is usually what was sent to us by the manufacturer and sometimes does not match the model number (which is usually contained inside the file). I'm sure that the manufacturers that have these obscure file names have a reason, but I don't know what that is.

As for loading patterns from the website - if you mean ours, then yes, the .pt2 files you download from our website are readable by both RadioCompass and ComStudy.

Can not find the celwave attenna pattern for BMR12-O & 859MHz in the drop down "Antenna Pattern Editor" tap.

Please help!

Y,

You must have posted this right as I called! So for the benefit of everyone else, the next step is to contact the manufacturer and get the pattern file. Some offer .pt2 format which can be opened in the editor (shown above) or Planet, which can be converted to .pt2. Other formats can also be converted - just send them over!

Hello Mick:

This issue has been around since Comstudy 2.2. Can you give me a time frame when you expect to have the electrical downtilt, uptilt feature fixed. This would be a great time saviour if it were working correctly.

Thanks Mick,
