I'm guessing you mean to export matrix data? This won't easily go into a shape file, those are better suited for contours than tiles. Instead, our matrix viewer will have a save/load utility in several popular formats like xyz.
If in fact you mean to export a polygon (a contour, for example), you will be able to right click on the contour for export.
We have, however, implemented the KLM export format into Google Earth. That upgrade should be posted to the login server sometime tomorrow (4/24).

Yes, looking for matrix data, xyz or three dimensional points for importing into ARCview GIS software so we can overlay the coverage maps onto our local streets, fire hydrants etc.
Do you know when the matrix viewer will be posted to the login server?
Thanks Peter
Any update on when the ESRI/GIS export tool will be operational. It appears that from the earlier threads on this subject that it was part of the software originally and then removed for some small problem.
We are very anxious to get this feature working, and are hoping to have it available within the next 30 days, as we plan to try again this year to have all our Fire Departments coverage maps loading into the Chief's laptop GIS clients, to use in the upcoming fire season.
This code was written but removed for some small issue which escapes me at the moment. I'd guess two weeks for both contour shapefile export and matrix text file export. We're currently hot on population counting and inter-polygonal analysis which will go on for another week or so.
Thanks!
Hi folks,
Sorry for bringing up such an old issue, but in case everyone was not already aware, we now offer many different types of matrix exports.
We offer:
XYZ format - with and without NaNs
KML/KMZ at the specified calculated resolution
GeoTiff at the specified calculated resolution
And ESRI's own GRID format
If you need any assistance with these, please let me know!
