Data structures for CDBS (US Broadcast) radios are being revised and correctly serialized for saving/storing.

Input fields for creating a new radio are being revised for simplicity, and being corrected for content by band.

New Land Mobile interference types are being added:

  • Mobile-to-Base (two mobile areas received by one Base Station Rx)
  • Mobile-to-Mobile (two mobile areas of operation both of which are using only mobiles)

As of this date (1/10/2008, V 0.57) we have enabled Mobile-to-Base interference, though the interface needs a bit of tweaking. This process checks the percentage of mobile cells in a protected repeater system which might be impacted by a newly proposed mobile operating area. To do this, talk-back studies are created for both protected and proposed sets of mobile cells, and for each proposed cell an interference percentage is assigned based on the number of protected cells at which a 17 dB ratio fails at the protected receive antenna.

Mobile-to-mobile interference, due to its statistically random nature, is also implemented but will require optimizing as it currently takes more than 10 days even on a fast multiprocessor machine.

Any suggestions about how to quantify Mobile-to-Base Ix are welcome.
