Internet connection-Login

IS there a work around for logging into the program without an internet connection? We have the software loaded on a laptop for field use in calculating the proper deployment of portable repeaters on fire lines, and do not typically have internet access in the wildland areas.

Logging into our servers when starting RadioCompass is very useful to ensure that all users have the latest code, as improvements are happening regularly.

If you wish however to operate entirely offline, you can do so, with some limitations:
>Transmitter Databases are unavailable for querying, ranking and Interference Studies;
>Large supporting databases, such as satellite photography are unavailable; and
>If done regularly, your saved files may become at risk, or may not be easily shared.

We have implemented local database access (for transmitter data), imports from Excel and comma delimited files &c.

After a period of time ranging from three to six months, the program will insist on "phoning home" to check on updates and permissions.

Hi,
My corporate network uses a proxy server to access the internet.
There is no direct access.
Is there a way I can configure this tool to utilize the proxy server?
Thank you

If this is a transparent proxy, then it should be as simple as setting up a rule to allow RadioCompass access to our servers. It may also be possible to configure the proxy to allow access on one of the given ports in which case it shouldn't care about headers, programs, IPs, etc...

With that said, if this proxy is one that must be configured in the program, then no, we do not currently offer this ability. It is on our task list and I will add you to the notification alerts for any updates that are made.
