Freq Finder Support for 935-940 MHz LMR Band

Submitted by intermod on Tue, 2017-01-10 20:53.

While I am able to query this band and perform normal radius searches, entering any frequency above 899.0 in the Frequency Finder function is not permitted (field label in RED, OK button greyed out). Confirm that CS supports FF at 900 MHz?

See attached.

It does - as we discussed after this post, the Frequency Finder table files are necessary to do this. For the reference of others, these files are available in your user downloads - LMRFF9.exe.

Hi, Greg.

I received the update above with "crickets". Does the above post from January 2017 not address your issue?

Hi Mick:

Sorry I missed your answer - is there a way to subscribe to notifications (or RSS?) instead of havign to check back for the response?

Let me clarify this question. It appears that FF@900 works fine when we use 90.617 (pre-defined freq lists). The problem was related to manual entry of 900 MHz frequencies when using "None (Frequency Independent)".

I suspect I did not use "90.617" as I received too much information - which I believed was a credit cost problem (paying for more than I need) as we are on the pay as you go plan for data.

Does it matter if we limit the 900 MHz FF range from a cost perspective? If no, then this problem goes away....

If so, the problem persists. Executed the LMRFF9.exe, and I still cannot manually enter ranges. See attached. Thanks for the help.

Yup - if you are using the credit-based search, you'll be wasting some of those credits if you do the pooled search. As to doing a manual entry of frequencies, it does appear that 936.0-936.6 is outside of the allowed range. I'll do some digging on this as on the surface it seems that it should be allowed.

As for the RSS feed, unfortunately we no longer offer it, though you can always reach me via email!
