Image file does not show up properly on google earth when.kml file opened

I have edited the default .kml file as instructed, created a .png image and placed both files in the same folder on my computer. the .kml opens but the image is displayed as a rectangle with a large X in the middle. Files attached here for testing.

The path to the image appears to be broken - there is a colon in front of the image name. Remove the colon and all should be well.

Thanks for finding my mistake Mick. By the way I converted the original .bmp file to a .gif file and made the white background transparent and it looks better overlayed on google earth. files attached.
